Tourney report at Yew Tee: 17/12/2011

Tourney Winner: Chain Burn.

Deck that I used: Machina Gadget

Position?: too low to count

Round 1. Me vs Jack ( Final Countdown!!!)

Game 1: Messenger of Peace caused my Number 16: Ruler of Color - Shock Ruler to be useless. What was worse, I foolishly set all my 4 cards face down as well. He then activated Spatial Collapse. This in turn jam my whole field. One of my set card is a Dark Hole. I had to kill my Number 16: Ruler of Color - Shock Ruler to get space. I then tried to make a comeback but it is too late. 20 turn is up and my whole world came crashing down.

Game 2: Greenkappa save me. He did not have final countdown. He also threw in One day of peace. I managed to scrape by and win.

Game 3: Throw in XYZ monsters. I xyz summon  Number 11: Big Eye with Two Fortress.(helps me to control annoying monsters like The Unhappy Maiden)
How do I summon my Big Eye out? Simple. I Sp 1 Fortress by discarding two of them from my hand. Then I used Call of the Haunted to sp my second Fortress from the grave. I also sp Scrap Dragon to do bombing. Craziest moment: I solemn judge a Final countdown. Paying 5500LP. Lolz. I also managed to scrape through.

Remark: Jack is a good friend of mine. He had to burn half my brain cells......... lolz. But We both were laughing at each other as we play. However, the next round was not that simple. ( Got a lot of comments saying : Yoong Kang has grown up)

Round 2. Me vs John (Infernity) (The Battle between 2 close friends and teammates)

Game 1: I go aggressive with him. As I had play with him for so long, I know his playing style. Dealt tremendous amount of damage to him and I won.

Game 2: His combo came and I was beaten badly. (He even reminded me what mistakes I made)

Game 3: I misplayed by not dropping effect veiler. Nervous, I think. I lost.........

Remark: The Battle between 2 close friends. This is the first time that I had officially played with John. It is really a good experience.

After that I keep watching the match played by John. Congrats, He was the top few.

He lost against the Chain Burn deck as time was a "disadvantage" to him with Sudden Death.

Final round: Wesley Vs Chain Burn Guy.

Game 1: Forgot what happened, must be multiple chaining............ Wesley lost
Game 2: Accel Synchro to Black Rose when Chain Burn Guy set all his cards. Cool
Game 3: Accel Synchro to Black rose again but Chain burn Guy chain all his drawing cards.
Wesley try to psycho that Chain Burn Guy that he got a second Black Rose waiting for him. And in order to reduse the damage that Secret Barrel will do to him, he drop Effect Veiler on that Chain burn guy's Swift Scarecrow. But in the end Wesley still lost.

Remark: Wesley seems to be able to be a few steps ahead of his opponent........... Ok, that Chain Burn Guy took a bit long on his turn.

Tourney report at clementi: 4/12/2011

I did not see the entire event: when I arrived, John had ended another swiss.
John had a perfect 2-0 during the swiss round.

Here is one of them that I noted down.

Swiss #:

John vs Poh Seng (infernity vs Agent)

Game 1 : John summoned Lavalval chain but it got warned! He then end the game with 2nd Lavalval chain, 1 Leviair the Sea Dragon and 1 Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier.
Game 2: Poh Seng fly in a gorz but during Main Phase 2 ,John syn for his Doom dragon and blow groz.
On Poh Seng's turn, he tried to summon Venus, but it fell foul of a BTH.
On John's turn: He atk directly with Doom.

Poh Seng's turn : normal a ball and sp a Earth with monster reborn. John then ???? Earth.
Poh Seng scooped
John win. (nice play ppl)
Top 8:
John vs Colin (If I remember correctly: In this game. Archfiend got BTH twice!!)
(infernity vs Six Sam!!)
Game 1 :Colin starts with a "Gate", followed by Shi-en then a grandmaster. The game ends with a Barkion and a No 61 Volcasaurus!! John lost. (Good play)
Game 2 : John tries to "Raigeki Break??/Infernity break??" Shi-en but instead of Shi-en negating it,Musakani Magatama took the hit. John also got hit by a DP.
John lost :( You did ya best.)
However: John was not eliminated: There is fight for position 5th to 8th!
For bottom 4:
John vs Ying Jun( I think)
(infernity vs Tech Genius Agents!!)
Game 1: Snipe Hunter's shoot was unlucky, 1st try roll a six. 2nd try is a success but all it hits is a MST
John dustshoot a Hyperion on Ying Jun's turn.
John had "heavy back row" to try to protect him. After that, top decking starts lolz. John lost.(I unsure abt the process)

Game 2: Carzy moments done by Ying Jun:
1) Creature swap an Earth for Archfiend (Cool!) John was like .......
2) Maxx C when John uses Infernity Launcher and Syns. ( Cool! Talk bt timing) John was like...... x2. John managed to do Trishula. Remove Hyperion from grave, but a Venus from hand.
(Due to 5 cards (I think) in Ying Jun's hand with G's eff)
3) Ying Jun did a suicide attempt wif Earth into Lavalval Chain. I expected a Honest. "How honest is that?" but he dropped a Tragoedia when he took dmg! 2x cool. And resumed atk again.
John lost. :( , (worse Ying Jun got a BLS in his hand >.<,)
On to position 7th, 8th
Tournament for the 7th prize card and 8th prize. Chaos Hope vs a GAGAGA Girl. >.<
Aka winner gets to reject a wife lolz
John vs Shaun??
(infernity vs Hero beat/Hero smackdown)(Note: Serious Veiler and Crow activity here)
Game 1: John won
Game 2: Shaun did "Super Poly" fusing his Elemental HERO Neos Alius and John's Beetle to form Elemental HERO Escuridão. John tried to monster reborn but got "Crowed". John lost.
Game 3: Shaun did "Super Poly" fusing his Elemental HERO Neos Alius and John's necromancer to form Elemental HERO Escuridão. John then ???? the field?, and then Shaun followed by a Miracle Fusion, fusing his Alius and Escuridão to form Shining. Trishula did the win for John. (Proven: Don't mess with Hero Beat. Will never know when they super poly: I salute to this deck)
John won position: 7th??( Prize: Chaos Hope: which John sold away to someone)
Conclusion: Today's tourney was a meaningful event for me. I not stepping into the tourney circle for a while. There is still plenty for me to learn. I gonna watch more tourneys that my teammates are in. Watch and learn. Plus. I also like to thank all the rest of the players for letting me learn something.
Especially abt enlightening me in sp-ing Tragoedia in that "cool" way.
