I don't get it

I don't know why I'm doing this lol
"Take this with a pinch of salt, your blog post did not go well. You are good enough player to not to have face that sort of shit. Distance yourself from KFC in front of the community if you are going ASC, you will not like the attention. You can ignore this for all I care. I lost every ounce of respect for you the moment you continued to whine bitch talk about that Salvage."
I don't know why I'm getting a text from over-reactive Eustace but it seems like someone dislikes what I do in tournaments. I don't get why you'd want to make a big issue over Salvage until today. I mean, I was playing Gishkis that time and I knew it was inconsistent as hell, thus I wouldn't make it far in the tourney. Maybe its my own fault for playing such a deck but why bitch up till now? Beats me.

Now it seems as though Eustace dislikes how Chieflion judged the tourney for 24/03/11. How could you be pissed off over this? If you are absent for it and Uncle still wants to run a tourney but still requires a judge, of course you'll be replaced for the day! In the end, being the judge is voluntary and by the end of the day, if everyone feels the judge has done his job, then everyone's happy! Allow me to give you a brief idea of that day's tourney.

Players: 8
- Hakim (Final Countdown)
- Edwin (Lightlords)
- Wesley (Inzecters)
- Zhi (Six Samurais)
- Jason (Inzecters)
- Edward (Verz)
- 2 other players (Infernity and Karakuri)

Format: Single Elimination

Judge: Chieflion

Winners:
1st - Wesley
2nd - Hakim
3rd - Edwin

So do we really have a problem here? Even though 75% of the tourney was held by our group, it doesn't mean that we have higher advantage. The only advantage even I seemed to have was that I was playing a troll deck, ala Final Countdown. Wesley still won either way. Why would you be pissed? Its Single Elimination, man.

Now let's discuss about the tournament on Sunday, which Eustace seems to have problems with. I'll just highlight a few things here and there.

WDF 1st Ranking Tournament

Players: 8
- Me (Gravekeepers)
- Edwin (Graveyard Blackfeather)
- Bailiang (Inzector)
- Jay Wong (Machina Gadgets)
- Jason (Inzector)
- Ameen (Evols)
- Xiangyu (Chaos Piper)
- Eddy (Skill Drain Machinatown)

Format: Swiss

Judge: Chieflion

Results:
1st - Me
2nd - Jason
3rd - Edwin

So what's the problem? We ask Uncle for permission, we set up the tables and chairs, we pay $5 for entry and our own prize. Everything is done within Uncle's compliance with our own rules and format without any bias. I don't see the problem.
I heard some of you guys dislike how I play troll decks. I apologize if I ever offended any of you. My purpose in playing those decks is purely for fun and laughter. Playing with skill is what it takes to win and I believe we all know that.

Oh before I forget, we are all still going ASC'12. The prize is too good to pass up.

What is this. Breakthough people! Lair wire for the win!

Inzektors.
Me: Crazy bombers
Ghakimx: You don't say!

In the past insect archetypes are like "Stupid"
Now, people worshiped them because of Inzektors. However, while worshiping them, they forgot about insect support cards. And Sam showed a difference between an average duelist and a pro duelist. There are always things that we overlooked, and it is these pros that make the breakthrough!

While watching game 2 of Malaysian Asia Qualifyer finals. Sam used this card:
Presenting

LairWireABPF-EN-C-1E.jpg

I was like "WDF is this!"
I was like "Why I never think of this!"
And guess what, under other card information tips section. I saw this:

I saw a badly misspelled tip in the last section for inzektors. It shows that that tip was written in last minute. (Maybe, it is  straightaway after the Malaysian Asia Qualifiers).

What does this prove? It shows how many average duelists like me are very short-sighted. What to do? We must breakthrough! Need to be inventive and innovative to create new ways of plays. I wonder how will Singapore Asia Qualifiers be like? Will there be a new breakthrough?

Full Yen Econ Tournament Report (17/03/12)

Finally entered a tourney since last month. This time, got top 4 with Edward and Cheng Wee. Decided to play a Final Countdown instead of Empty Jar because its a lot less combo oriented and I thought it would be funny to see who can do what. Apparently, I've been proven wrong.

Match 1: W-W
Hakim (FC) vs Pei Ming (Infernity)

Round 1:

He start, Dark Grepher, drop and mill, etc. I draw, Final Countdown, thin deck, then I wait. At one point, had one Purgatory Dragon + Barrier Behind. My turn, I activate A Day of Peace, he let it pass, but then he eventually died because he occupied all his zones. Also, he had no Xyz monsters in his extra deck, so pretty jacked from there.

Round 2:
Same as before. He didn't side. I think I just played without siding since he was going to play like a boss.

Match 2: W-L-W
Hakim vs some X-Saber dude who's name I forgot

Round 1:
Struggled like siao. He Gottoms, I almost died. Screw Gottoms.

Round 2: He Gottoms again, I run out of cards to protect myself.

Round 3: He set a bunch of monsters and cards, then he flip summon his monsters but when he attempted to synchro a level 6 monster, I Skill Drain his ass and cock block him for most of the game. But near the end of the game, he bombed my field and hand but it was turn 19 and I had A Day of Peace the last turn.

Match 3: L-W-L
Hakim vs Chewy (Inzectors)

Why bother writing? Doesn't matter who wins because top 4 by then.

Match 4: L-L
Hakim vs Xhi (Six Samurai)

Round 1: Wa lao, I draw-search-draw-search NEVER GET THE DAMN COUNTDOWN. In the end, he summon out the Naturia Beast and I just switch to stalling tactics but still died.

Round 2: Apparently, he let my Card Car D pass a lot but then his turn he pull out Naturia Beast. Next turn, he pull out a few more monsters, like Grandmaster, Enishi, Kizan. My turn, I decided to be stupid and ask him, "Which are the most threatening monsters" to which he pointed to Beast and Enishi. Then, I tributed the Beast and Enishi for Lava Golem, then Final Countdown.

At one point in the game, as some girl with a dog came to our table and kept staying there. I had no idea who she was at first, but then I asked Xhi to hold on a while till she and the dog go away. But WTF, the table consisting of Xhi, me, Chewy and Edward just poker face down there. Then, she talked to Edward and then it seemed obvious she was his sister. Cheng Wee tried to move his leg away from the dog but then got barked him. You fookin' kidding me?

Seriously annoying. I mean, honestly speaking, what Edward's sister did is the same as me eating beef RIGHT IN FRONT of a Buddhist or a Hindu guy. Its SO offensive. Maybe its my fault for not saying I'm uncomfortable, but is Edward and his sister so air-headed that they don't know they should keep the dog away from muslims? C'mon lah, tolong and give us a break.

Anyway, back to the duel. At one point, we were running out of time. Then, Final Countdown left 5 turns but then the judge, Ze Xuan, give only 4 turns. Guess what, turn 19, I can stall, he default that Xhi wins. I try argue a bit lah, but then I can't be bothered. Better to control my anger for another day. But can we have a change of judge for once? Please?

So yes, in the midst of anger, a boy who I call Frog boy came to tell us something. Because I can, I shall illustrate it in the form of a rage comic.

And that's what happened, asides all the table flipping.

So Xhi decided to take first prize of Mist Wurm and we split 6 packs amongst ourselves. Edward got nothing, I got Annid and Chewy got Galaxy Photon Eyes. He swap the two Xyz monsters but I don't mind because what's mine is his.

That's all folks!
- Hakim

I missed out a lot!!!

After a 2 day camp, I was WDF! So many things happened!

Full-Yen Tournament on 17/3/2012, 3 of WDF academy hit top 4. Impressive!
Meanwhile in SP, I am swimming in a big sheet of detergent.

17/3/2012, WDF celebrates by having dinner.
Meanwhile at SP, I am crying (yes I am crying!) over not being able to memorise camp songs in West Coast! POW only!

And guess what, I brought my deck during camp and I sleep beside it at night.
To be honest, I felt more fit and clear-minded. Time to catch up with my team!
2 days without Yu-Gi-Oh, hmm, wonder how it affects me.

Full Yen Non-Ranking Tourney Report (3/3/12)

I read up on many blogs about Chain Disappearance being a killer for this current Meta. I decided to put my feelings aside and try it out IN MY MAIN DECK for this tournament. I decided to main 2 of them in my deck, not sure whether this is suicide or a blessing. And to make this more “better” I also main D.D Crows and Veilers as well. Oh yeah, for desserts, I added an Icarus Attack, I want my Crow to be multi-tasking

Ok, on to the report: As usual any mistake, please correct me, my cool opponents.
Swiss elimination (I think)
Number of Participants: 10+

Deck used: Con-trolled Machina Gadget
Judge: Eustace??

Round 1 vs Wen Liang (Inzektors) ???
I kind of forgot how the whole match goes. I remember on Game 2, he goes Chimeratech Fortress Dragon on me and beat mw with 3k beat stick! Serious crow activity (I think). He seemed to have a bad hand so it was some luck for me I guess for me to win. Time and luck was on my side.
He was stunned when he used Centipede eff to bomb my face down card, which turns out to be a Icarus attack

Round 2 vs Sebas (BF) OXO

Game 1: He starts things up with a Rai-Oh to stop my hand advantage, I am forced to mind control Rai-Oh. I then summon a yellow gadget (no effect to search of course). I xyz to hope to attack. He then got rid of my hope. I am unsure on how I push for game.

Game 2: Rai-Oh again, what to do? Smashing ground. No choice, none of my level 4 monster can run it over. I then summon a gadget and attack. He then summons a Sirocco to punch. On the next turn, I go cyclone his backrow. I mind control his Sirocco and summon veiler to go for Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. However, Sebas turn the tables with BLS (thanks to his Lavalval Chain), despite me veiling his BLS, he push the game from there.

Game 3: Top decking in progress, then He reborn my Machina fortress!! I was forced to smash it. He summon his Rai-Oh again!! I drew a Gearframe! Who cares if I can’t search, I just summon Gearframe. Fortress hit Rai-Oh then Gearframe go for game.

Round 3 vs Wesley (Inzektors) XOX
Game 1: Setting of backrow, I chain D his hornet but he torrential the field to ensure his hornet stay in grave. And I was like…… when he pot duality thrice! (Once per turn in 3 consecutive turn!), I used Phoenix Wing Wind Blast to top deck his hornet. (Learnt that from him) . However, I still lost to him, with his inzektors stuns.

Game 2: Limiter on fortress push the game for me when I ran it on Centipede
Game 3: He mst his own Mantis to produce more Inzektors that go for game for him.

Top 4

Round 4 vs Edward (Verz!) OXX

(Whoever wins this have a shot at Wesley again!!)

Game 1: My Gadget goes for push, not sure how I won.
Game 2: I made a terrible mistake. I had a face-down shadow imprisoning mirror but I ended up using solemn judgement. This mistake causes my loss.
Game 3: I had a really bad hand, only drew a gadget on the 4th turn, I was like …… I lost. L

Overall position: 4th

Well, maining chain disappearance is not a bad idea after all, why didn’t I do it in the first place? Being egoistic? From now on, I am not going to let my feelings take charge and let it cloud my Judgement on what is right for my deck. Enjoyed the whole tournament today

End of report
Jay Wong.
