Reviews and thoughts:
Konami might implement a set rotation strategy with the ban of popular plant tuners and the notorious Trishula. I felt sadded though that Trishula is like our "Yubel" or "Astral" by our side where it both watched and help us won duels. Most grown up stronger with this card in the game.
The card gives lots of sentimental value to everyone, it became hard to let it go and accept the fate that it is gone. Every criminal eventually has to face the laws and the consequences. From the abuse of it in Infernities to the hands of an agent angel not to mentioned that Trishula became a man and grow balls too. Get it?? Venus + balls + any lvl 2 tuner. This are some of my thoughts on the banlist. Now moving on to the analysis that I wanted to show you.

Dustshoot:
Its a broken card that changes the game the moment you start first and had in in your starting hand. It gives players an advantage which rips one card away from your opponent's hand. For example a rescue rabbit, effect veilers and a maxx c. On top of that a chance to look at opponents hand is and predict its next move is too much of a disruptive advantage.
1st. It makes you a step ahead of your opponent. then it -1 of your opponent's hand. I bet everyone is happy that this card got ban. But the grin only stays short.

Trishula:
Similar to dustshoot. It gives a player advantage and minus 3 for your opponent in a form of a 2700 beat stick. Reason being is that Konami is trying to promote exceeds desperately and to do so, they had to kill the top tier synchro decks and monsters. This is also to promote the duel terminal 14's verz ouroboros to replace the trishula. Looking in the duel terminal archetypes, the only archetype that makes into the meta was lavals, gishki and x-saber (tcg) and (the) fabled. Broken Synchro monsters: Naturia Barkion, Beast and landoise, Ice barrier's Trishula and brionac. To look in another perspective, DT sales has been failing ever since. Konami has gone desperate and with a format with swarming insects, DT archetypes are not on a leveled playing ground with the current meta such as inzektors and windups.

This lead me into mentioning about the quick release of archetypes and boosters recently. After all the rants and complaints that the OCG players had made to the slow release of extrapacks and TCG exclusives cards on  the OCG playing ground. This also introduced a variety of more broken plays where the meta is heading right now with 2 of the most notorious deck remained untouched. This also help to earn the trust of the players that were hit hard by list which those who played agent angels and junk doppel. This then brings me to the next highlight that the TCG people are frustrated about.

Reborn Tengu:
It is an irritating card that floats no matter how you try to get rid of it which also a splashable tech card into any deck. Nobody expects Konami to hit a TCG exclusive card that never tasted the OCG ground before. Konami decides to be more stern and daring with this banlist to prove players wrong that Konami would not hit a TCG exclusive card. This only means that the OCG players would get the Tengu sooner than we would expect it. This brings me to the next topic of the tuners that were hit and a structure deck card.

Earth, Agent of Mystery:
After TGAA being topped in so many tourneys, Konami decides to hit it hard by jeopardizing its consistency and speed which is their very own E-hero stratos instead of the boss monster, Master Hyperion. The theory of "Konami would never hit a structure deck exclusive card" is wronged. Its been a year since the release of Structure deck 20:Lost Sanctuary. Usually after a year of release that structure deck becomes dead or unpopular. Which means nobody would buy the SD anymore. An example would be Machina Command. The deck totally never comes back anymore after insane releases of new archetypes. In a business perspective, its called a matured product which is outdated and has to go as konami only cares about its sales and revenue.

End of part 1. Tune in for part 2
Signing off the Masqueraded Psycho Jester :D

I think you mistyped and meant -2 with trish, not -3

-3 if it were to be used against a graveyard based deck like graveyard blackwings, with 3 targets banished.

but against most decks it is a -2
